This book, partly published previously under the same title, 'Spirituality in Religion', contains some of the malfuzat (sayings), letters and writings of the English saint, Hazrat Shahidullah Faridi (R.A.), who departed from this world in 1978. The malfuzat, delivered both in Urdu and English during his last few years were audio-taped. Some of the malfuzat delivered in Urdu have been translated for production here, and the ones delivered in English have been reproduced as spoken by the eminent Sheikh.

While a collection of the shaikh’s articles can be found in the book “Inner Aspects of Faith”. the essays in this book, mainly being taken from lectures has a more informal style, and is quite easily understood – explaining concepts in everyday language.

Some of the discourses were for beginners and new converts. The book is arranged purposefully, beginning with the basis of Religion, then Islam, and slowly moving into the subject of tasawwuf and zikr.

However, even experienced readers will glean something new and enlightening when reading these essays, discovering new meanings in some basic concepts.
